Catalogue Printing in Surat
Product catalogues are how a great many Surat manufacturers and textile traders actually sell — handed across a table, posted to a buyer, or carried into an exhibition. The catalogue is doing the job a salesperson cannot always be present to do.
That makes photography and colour accuracy the two things worth spending money on. A catalogue full of poorly lit product shots undermines the product regardless of how well it is bound.
Binding choice follows page count. Saddle stitching — folded and stapled through the spine — is economical and lies flat, but only works up to about 48 pages. Beyond that, perfect binding gives a square spine you can print on, which matters when the catalogue sits on a buyer’s shelf.

Catalogue Printing — frequently asked questions
Saddle stitching or perfect binding — which do I need?
Saddle stitching is cheaper, lies flat when open, and works up to about 48 pages. Perfect binding gives a square printable spine and handles far higher page counts, but does not lie as flat. Page count usually makes the decision for you.
Why must saddle-stitched pages be a multiple of four?
Because each sheet is folded in half and nested, producing four pages — two on each side. The construction physically cannot produce a page count that is not divisible by four. If your content lands on 46 pages, we either add two or trim two.
What resolution do product photos need?
300 DPI at final printed size. A photo used at full A4 needs roughly 2480 × 3508 pixels. Images pulled from a website are typically 72 DPI and will look soft and blocky in print. We check every image and flag problems before printing.
What is creep, and does it affect my catalogue?
On thick saddle-stitched catalogues, inner pages push out slightly further than outer ones when folded, so trimming shaves more from the inner page margins. We compensate for this at the imposition stage. It is why content should not sit tight to the trim edge.
Can you print a small quantity of catalogues?
Yes, on digital press for short runs — useful for exhibition samples or a pilot before committing to a full offset run. Offset becomes more economical as quantity rises, and we will tell you where the crossover falls for your specification.
